Shoes! I Love Shoes!!!

Shoes with sheep!

Another angle!

New Converse!

Little Red Riding Hood!

Many years ago, B. C.*, when I was younger and really followed the fashion trends, I wore the latest in shoes (*before children). And, because I traveled extensively, I was able to find shoes in other cities that I couldn't find locally. This was back in the day when I still wore heels...heels of all heights and shapes.

Now that I am in my middle years, my taste in shoes has changed drastically. The wearing of heels is an extremely painful thought! And, following those trends was expensive, not only in the monetary sense but also from the standpoint of foot health. My bunions require comfort...I should spell that out as COMFORT! Hence my love of Converse All-Star shoes! A couple of years ago, I ran across the "sheep" shoes. Because of my love of knitting these seemed quite appropriate. I have lots of fun with these and I can walk miles in them without pain or discomfort.

My new All-Stars feature artist Camilla Engman! I love the detail. And, once again, comfort rules where my feet are concerned. If I could find a way to wear them with my Sunday best I would! Alas, I have to let them rest on Sunday mornings for church, but the rest of the week they are perfect for walking around this vast work campus of ours.

"How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation..." Isaiah 52:7
