An Exercise in Freedom!

Long May She Wave!

In response to many concerns about the outcome of the presidential election, one of our pastors gave a sermon on dealing with our fears. His Scripture reference was Psalm 56. The following verses were the ones that he strongly emphasized:

Verses 3 & 4: "When I am afraid, I will trust in you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?"

Verses 9, 10, & 11: "Then my enemies will turn back when I call for help. By this I will know that God is for me. In God, whose word I praise, in the Lord, whose word I praise - - - in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"

Verse 13: "For you have delivered me from death and my feet from stumbling, that I may walk before God in the light of life."

Regardless of which candidate you support, God is on His throne and He is in control. Fear of man is not an option. On Wednesday morning, God will still be in control, and those of us who trust Him and rest in His care will be fine even if we might be disappointed in the election's outcome.

It is a beautiful day here in the deep South. I hope that your day is filled with Sonshine and clear blue skies! And, please VOTE!!!

Amen! It does not matter who wins today because God will always take care of His people no matter what.

Awesome post, Sandy!! Our pastor also said something a few weeks ago about voting--He said that we have placed our trust in God--God already knows who is going to win the election.

We trust God, and we need to vote for the person that we trust the most in this election.

And you are so right--no matter who wins, God will always rule the universe!! AMEN!!
