Christmas Knitting

We did a bit of traveling over the Christmas holidays and this is what I got to experience! My sweet son, Boomer, decided that he wanted to the art of knitting. He is working on a scarf. He has persevered through an entire skein of yarn in charcoal grey. And, I have to tip my hat to him,...he did a good job with tension and keeping 25 stitches on the needles.

We had a great time with our families over the last several days. I have eaten too much and must return to more moderate eating. I am determined to drop the rest of this excess weight. 2009 is my year for healthy living! Anyone else taking a pledge for good health!?

Blessings to you on this last day of 2008! May God be with you today and through the days ahead!

Oh, wow!! Your son is learning to knit!!! That is just fantastic!!

Have you ever seen the man on Ravelry (I can't remember his name off the top of my head) who does all his knitting in things that are related to fishermen? Like fishermen knit sweaters, the socks that fishermen wore long ago to keep their feet warm and dry? He does beautiful work.

A pledge for healthier living--sounds like a good idea to me!! I don't make New Year's resolutions--they're just too easy to break. But a pledge or commitment is different. I'm in for that pledge!!

I hope and pray that 2009 is a blessed year for you and your family!!
