This is an extremely rare occurence! Snow in South Mississippi! Today's forecast was for a wintery mix which I just figured would be rain and sleet. And, we did have rain and sleet earlier today. About 9:30 we had gusts of snow. I ran out with camera in hand so I would have validation! If the radar is any indication, more gusts of snow are on the way.
My parents live outside of New Orleans and they have accumulated snow in their yard. And my brother who lives outside of McComb, Mississippi had 3 inches as of 7:00am!

WOW!! We were supposed to have freezing rain yesterday and today--no snow. Instead, it warmed up a bit and it's raining for two days. Just think about how much snow that would be!!
I kind of wish I would be snowed in for a day or two--give me some more time to complete my Christmas projects!!
