Dear Heart returned from a mission trip right before the 4th of July holiday. Almost as soon as he returned he headed out for a golfing weekend with his brother. So, for days and days we had rain and more rain and the grass grew and grew! Boomer, our son, would have taken the mower to it but instructions were given to both of us, "no one touches the grass but me!" We heard and we obeyed!

Yesterday afternoon I came home from work to find the mower stalled in the grass. It is really difficult to push the mower through grass as tall and thick as this! Luckily for us the grass and weed police don't drive through our neighborhood. Otherwise I would have been heavily fined for the height of the grass or as Boomer called it, "our hay field." The John Deere equipment is coming in today!
